It’s been quite some time since I last posted a mani, but I just love this polish so much!
It’s OPI’s James Bond themed, The Sky’s My Limit. I also popped a coat of Frenz Nails Opal04 over the top, which sadly I’ve almost finished the bottle AND its been discontinued. On my ring finger is ORLY’s Luxe, with some dots of OPI.
I do love my blue polishes, but the OPI has almost has a gun metal grain through it, when combined with the Frenz, becomes a duo chrome with shades of light blue, green, turquoise, gold and purple. It goes on evenly, with full coverage after two coats. This was the polish I chose for Christmas. I picked up the bottle on a 3 for $20 special at the mall near me, which was a bargain as OPI usually sits anywhere between $11 – $18 a bottle in Australia. Particularly if its one of the brand’s ‘special’ polishes.
The ORLY wasn’t as easy, you can’t put this on thick because once a top coat goes over it, the polish kind of curdles underneath and looks messy. I had to put this on twice for it to look good, and I still think the coverage is a little light in places. I use Seche Vite as my topcoat, because I love it…but a thick layer will curdle this…so use it sparingly. Well, I tend to layer my polishes thick, so it might be ok for you.
Anyhoo…until next time, may the manicures be ever in your favour.
