So today’s mani is a paint-on gradient I did yesterday. Yes, I painted it on but both polish’s are super sheer so it wasn’t an issue. They’re both so sheer in fact, I think this would have been impossible to do with a sponge.
OK the polishes used were Jessica – Indigo Glow which is a kind of duo-chrome-ish. Indigo Glow is a gorgeous teal polish with a cobolt/electric blue fringe. It has a bit of shimmer but is so sheer you could almost call it a crelly (maybe shmelly?). It took a good few coats (about three) to get it to opaque. The first coat was kind of streaky but subsequent coats covered that up.
On top of that is Max Factor- Fantasy Fire which is one of those transforming polishes….you can put it on top of anything and it will change the colour. Fantasy Fire is a dark purple/blue polish which is incredibly sheer. It has gold micro-glitter throughout and is really beautiful when used as a topper. I put a coat over the top of the whole nail, and just built it up on the bottom half.
Both polishes require a minimum of three coats before you get anything close to opaque.
OK, that’s it for today…Short and Sweet 🙂
